Simply Select 'Apply for Group Membership' from the bar to the right. It may be necessary to create a Google Account if you don't have one, but this is a simple and *free* process.
Alternately, There is a built in RSS feed. If you know how to use RSS, we assume you'll know how to subscribe.

The blog sends an email to the google groups mailing list. Kinda indirect, but hey.
